By January 8, 2010 No Comments

The latest in local digital happenings has Qualcomm’s unqiue  FLO TV service  teaming up with software and app designer  mophie to bring a live TV service to the iPhone and iPod touch platforms.

Utilizing FLO TV’s recently acquired spectrum, the application and antennae skin will receive TV signals independent of the carrier’s networks, eliminating the prce of the network fee now passed on to consumers.

FLO also announced a hefty line up of sports programming for 2010- —  90 NBA games, 76 MLB games,  200 NCAA football games, including 25 Bowl games and 350 NCAA basketball games.

We like the idea of catching games in the palm of your hand, but can that beat a cool sports bar or a weekend gathering of friends?
