Those of you who have put off joining Twitter may want to jump in today, just to get a taste for how big this thing is getting. The San Francisco-based start-up is hosting a Twestival, a global fundraising event for charity:water, a non-profit group that facilitates funding for freshwater projects in developing nations.
More than 200 cities around the world will host events in their local communities such as a dance event in New York City to help raise money and awareness.
