Keep Virgin From Destroying The Internet!

By August 11, 2008 One Comment

The new CEO of Virgin Media, Neil Berkett, has openly stated in an interview that they think net neutrality is “a load of bollocks” and claimed they’re already doing deals to deliver some people’s content faster than others. They would then put websites and services that don’t pay Virgin in the “slow lane”, meaning those sites would load slowly and cause most users to give up using them, feeling forced to use whatever Virgin wants to push through their network. Check out the site and do what you can to protect our freedoms.

This is a serious issue. But I don’t think a “boycott” of Virgin will not do much – I don’t think it is even to possible to organize anything strong enough to do anything. SaveTheInternet is another good link about net neutrality. It has a link that makes it easy to tell your congressional representatives what you think. Please take a little time to support net neutrality. Go to: http://www.SavetheInternet.com
