YouTube Looks a Little Different

Notice something different about YouTube's landing pages lately?  The site had rolled out a out a major overhaul of its video pages, featuring a larger video player, a more subtle, streamlined interface and advanced recommendation features. The right side of the page now features a curated list of recommended videos matched by topic and genre designed to get viewers to stick around longer.

Drawing the Digital Line

This is what we like to hear about:  MTV has launched its "A Thin Line" campaign, with support from Blue Shield of California Foundation,  with "Over the Line?":  an app to help young people draw their own "line" -- a rubicon between digital use and digital signage solutions. Audiences are also encouraged to vote on the three finalist ideas vying to win a $10,000 prize and a potential development budget of up to $75,000 in the "Redraw the Line" challenge.

Feeling the Lag? Test Your Connection!

The FCC has launched a new broadband speed test site at broadband.gov to give consumers a “trusted” source with which to test their connections at various times during the day.
